• John Pringle was born and raised in Carroll, Iowa and attended Carroll High School.

• John then attended Drake University in Des Moines and graduated in May 1974 with a Business Marketing Degree.

• John’s working career began in June 1974 as a savings and loan association examiner for the Iowa State Auditor’s Office. In August 1977 John joined Des Moines Savings and Loan Association as a commercial and single family real estate loan officer. In January 1979 John rejoined the Iowa State Auditor’s Office to become the Director of the Financial Institutions Division. During that time, John served on the Board of Trustees-National Association of State Savings and Loan Supervisors, and was the National Chairman of the Institute for Continuing Regulatory Education.

• In June 1984 John joined the Federal Home Loan Bank/Office of Thrift Supervision. He received the designation of Federal Thrift Regulator and was a Supervisory Agent for larger and more troubled Savings and Loan Associations over a three state area. During his tenure, John hired a new CEO and/or Board of Directors for 4 failed financial institutions.

• In January 1998 John joined Wells Fargo Financial Retail Services, Wells Fargo & Company, as a Business Development Representative. While at Wells Fargo Retail Services, John’s positions included the National Sales Manager, Fraud Manager, Bankruptcy Manager, Compliance Manager, and Community Reinvestment Officer. John initiated the Community Reinvestment Program for Wells Fargo Financial National Bank covering Clark County (Las Vegas) Nevada, and that program received an “Outstanding” rating from Federal banking regulators during John’s tenure.

• John was also a local Community Volunteer while at Wells Fargo; he managed the 6th Ave (Des Moines) Clean Up Project for 2 years, taught Financial Literacy at local Des Moines Community Centers, schools and shelters for 5 Years, and participated in the annual Rebuilding Together projects in Des Moines.

• In December 2017 John retired after a 20 year career with Wells Fargo. John then created Asset Recovery Specialists, L.C. in April 2019, which finds and reunites lost and abandoned assets with the rightful owners-people, businesses and non-profit organizations. As President and CEO of Asset Recovery Specialists, John is a Private Investigator licensed by the Iowa Department of Public Safety. A licensed Private Investigator must pass fingerprint and background checks by both Iowa State and Federal authorities.

• John has been a resident of West Des Moines, Iowa for 30 years. He has two daughters and their families, including four grandchildren. John’s hobbies include golf, reading, listening to music and watching college sports.
